Final Message - COVID 19

May 31, 2020

To our Nu Smile Roseville patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your families safe, healthy, and in good spirits.  We have all been affected by this unprecedented global situation and our hope is that we will all come out stronger and more unified.  We are preparing to reopen on June 8th, 2020 and have been working hard to ensure the safety of our staff and patients.  As much as we are anxious to reopen, our priority was to make sure that we have all the necessary supplies and resources in place to ensure the utmost safety of our team and patients.

Our office has always taken great pride in our measures to prevent disease transmission (infection control) and overall cleanliness.  To that end, we are closely following and ensuring that we not only meet, but surpass the infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH), California Dental Association (CDA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as well as staying in close contact with other dental colleagues to ensure that we are not only up to date and implementing the best protective measures for our office, team, and patients.

We have made a small number of tweaks from scheduling all the way to patient care for the time being, which you can also see here in this link: https://youtu.be/YPrrbyRo2cg:

  • All team & patient will continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines
  • We will ask a series of screening questions over the phone before your visit as well as taking temperatures and asking the same questions before entering the office.  Hand sanitizer will also be available to use upon entering.
  • Your vehicle is our new waiting room! When you arrive, please stay in your car and check-in via text message at (916) 312-4174 or call us at (916) 780-9688 to let us know you have arrived. We ask that you let us know when you have parked your car and wait there until we are ready for you to come into the office.
  • Appointments will be more spread out to allow for proper sterilization of our facility and social distancing.  This might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointments.
  • We also state that for the time being that it is okay you schedule all members of your family during the same visit to help with social distancing and appointment availability.

The California Department of Public Health has asked us to prioritize pressing and urgent dental needs over routine care.  Please bear with us as we try to get these needs scheduled first.

Please wait for our office to call or text you to schedule your next appointment. We have a comprehensive list of all cancelled / rescheduled appointments that we will be using to bring everyone back to resume continued care and we will be reaching out to you all starting the week of June 1st. Thank you for being part of our family. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming your family’s faces back into our office.  Even though we will be wearing masks like we have always been, our big smiles will definitely be behind them!

Sincerely and with love,

Dr. Hsu, Dr. Kwan, and the Nu Smile Team
